Praia, 12 October (Inforpress) – The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and the Aviation Academy of Singapore, represented by Allan Tang, today pledged to support the Cabo Verde in the establishment of a safe civil aviation sector.
This commitment was made at the opening ceremony of the training entitled “Continuing Safety Monitoring for Regulators: Implementation and Best Practices”, which takes place over five days in the city of Praia.
The training programme, focusing on the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP-CMA) of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), aims, according to the Singaporean representative, to prepare local inspectors for rigorous audits and international regulatory reviews planned over the coming years.
” For states like ours, aviation is much more than just a means of transport. It is a vital link that brings our peoples closer together, stimulates tourism and promotes economic development,” said Allan Tang, expressing Singapore’s satisfaction at the idea of strengthening cooperation initiated in 2025.
